Giovanna Tancredi
Dr. Giovanna Tancredi is an experimental physicist with a PhD in Low Temperature Physics from Royal Holloway, University of London (RHUL), where she worked as a postdoc until 2014. Afterward, she was employed as a postdoc in the Quantum Devices group at Oxford University. Currently, Dr. Tancredi is Senior researcher in the Quantum Technology Laboratory at Chalmers University, within the Wallenberg Centre for Quantum Technology (WACQT).
Her primary focus is on building a quantum computer based on superconducting circuits. Dr. Tancredis research interests lie in addressing the challenges of developing quantum science through technology, with the ultimate goal of harnessing quantum physics for functionalities and performances that would otherwise be unattainable.
In pursuit of this goal, her team at WACQT have founded a company called SCALINQ. The mission is to develop novel hardware solutions that simplify the advancement of quantum computers.
